On October 20 and 22, 2022, Charleston Opera Theater will present a fully staged production of Mozart's Don Giovanni with gorgeous orchestral accompaniment. The music and performance will feel even more special in the beautiful, historic College of Charleston's Sottile Theatre!
Don Giovanni is the perfect choice for a Halloween production. This masterpiece blurs the lines between comedy and the macabre, including supernatural elements and exploring the bounds of morality. In a fantastic twist, this production will change the opera's setting from Spain to Mexico, allowing the show to take place during Dia de Los Muertos.

Adding to the fun, there will be a free Festival de Don Giovanni on October 22, celebrating the culture of Mexico and the festival of Día de los Muertos. This festival will feature local food trucks, vendors, music, artists, and other community groups all uniting to celebrate Latin culture.
