Did you know that September 18 is National Cheeseburger Day? Now you have an excuse to indulge in a burger while you're in Charleston! Here are a few of our favorite places around town to enjoy cheeseburgers.
The Bar at Husk:
The burger at The Bar at Husk is famous around town- and around the country! Bon Appetite magazine wrote, "Guests reserve weeks ahead for dinner at Sean Brock’s famed Husk, but the better move is to walk right in to the Bar at Husk for a bourbon and a burger... The burger—with Benton’s bacon ground right into the patty, plus American cheese and special sauce oozing into the buttermilk–benne seed bun—has achieved notoriety within the city."
Poe's Tavern (Sullivan's Island):
Poe's Tavern is a wickedly unique Edgar Allan Poe themed burger restaurant. They have a variety of delicious burgers, all named after Poe's writing. Order a fun burger like the Annabel Lee (topped with a crab cake and veggie remoulade) or the Tell-Tale Heart (fried egg, applewood smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese).
Moe’s Crosstown Tavern:
Moe’s Crosstown Tavern is a no-frills sports bar that has great burgers. Go with a classic cheeseburger or order something special, like the goat cheese and poblano burger.
Little Jack's Tavern:
Little Jack's Tavern is a classic tavern with great food. They have three burgers on the menu - a tavern burger (american cheese, tavern sauce, and griddled onion), a double tavern burger, a shrimp burger, and a surf and turf burger (tavern burger and a small shrimp burger).
The Watch Rooftop Kitchen & Spirits:
The Watch is celebrating National Cheeseburger Day with $12 specials on their famous Watch Burger and Terrace Burger on September 18, 2023 from 11am to 2pm.
