This February, celebrate Black History Month by diving into Charleston's renowned food scene! At Taste of Gullah Geechee, you'll get to enjoy more than just a meal. Savor scrumptious dishes during this vibrant gathering benefitting Nourish the Culture- a non-profit championing Gullah Geechee heritage and empowering the African American community.
At Taste of Gullah Geechee, each dish represents a chapter in the history of African diaspora cuisine. Each sample will be prepared by one of more than a dozen of Charleston's top Black chefs. There will be all sorts of foods represented, ranging from stew to seafood to dessert. Handcrafted cocktails will accentuate the dishes!

The chefs will also share the history of African American foodways. There's a story in every bite!
While food and history are at the center of the event, there will also be plenty of time to socialize and enjoy the great live music.
